WHO I AM
Hi! I'm Katherine.

I'm a recovering history major and mostly self-taught graphic designer. I live on deadlines and murder podcasts. I work in marketing for a construction company doing proposals, advertising, and taking care of all other marketing girlie things that pop up.

Before my current gig, I had a hand in designing and producing graphics for museums, presidential libraries, and sports halls of fame. Before that, I was an award-winning designer for newspapers across the Southeast (despite what that one guy on Facebook thought of my work!).

Let's get in touch!
I mostly use Facebook to remember birthdays
and almost exclusively post photos of my dog, Murdoch,
on Instagram but feel free to email me!
WHAT I'VE DONE
Places I've worked and pages I've read
LAYTON CONSTRUCTION
SENIOR MARKETING COORDINATOR
May 2022 - Present
I focus mainly on special marketing projects. Things like organizing, updating work flow, and whatever else needs to be done to help our department run more efficiently. I also work on proposals for data centers. These proposals often run on a quick timetable and require additional technical knowledge.

GRAPHIC DESIGNER
January 2019 - March 2022
I handled marketing materials, proposal production, asset management, and print ready art design when needed. I also worked on internal employee morale events, such as lunches and special occasion celebrations. In addition, I oversaw the Graphics Production department during a leadership transition.
NORTHEAST MISSISSIPPI DAILY JOURNAL
DESIGNER
October 2017 - December 2018
I was responsible for the 1A design every day. I also designed two weeklies and special sections as needed. I created graphic elements for stories in addition to staff photography. The other designers and I launched the first redesign of the newspaper in several years.
NASHVILLE DESIGN STUDIO
DESIGNER
October 2016Â - September 2017
I was primarily responsible for design of front and inside pages of The Memphis Commercial Appeal. I also worked on inside pages for The Nashville Tennessean and Sunday covers for The Knoxville News Sentinel.
THE KENTUCKY NEW ERA
